"Leigh in REAL life..."

Can I just say that I have SURVIVED the month of MARCH! Jeff and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary - we had a yummy dinner at Carabas and then went to a movie. It really was a fun night and can't believe it has already been 6 years. Sarah's Birthday was a success too. All of the little kids that came seemed to have such a fun time and Sarah is still talking about it. That night when the party was over I literally could not walk because I was exhausted. The next big event was EASTER! Easter was fun! The kids help me put eggs together for the neighborhood egg hunt and they really enjoyed their visit from the bunny and going to church. Yesterday was Britten's birthday party at the Kangaroo Zoo. There were 18 kids there and I just showed up with the cake, ice cream, decorations and party favors. I'm really glad I had it somewhere the kids could just run and play! So, with that said, I survived but I don't think my house has... Here are some pictures of what my house looked like this morning! I know it is totally embarrassing but it's REAL LIFE right?? I have spent most of my energy this week getting ready for Britten's party and Jeff has had strep throat this week and so has not been the help he usually is. So, between all the party planning, the exhaustion of pregnancy and Jeff being sick this is what our house looks like. I did have a stay at home day to tidy our house back up! Jeff is on his way to Filmore right now to pick up our new little puppy and I am headed out with the girls for pedicures and dinner! Just what I need...

CAKE time!

At the beginning of the month Britten picked out some transformers to go on his cake. I think he carried the boxes around most of the month! He was excited when it was time to open them and put them on his cake! Now they are sitting on his shelf with the rest of his transformers!

Present time...

Don't you remember being a kid and having a birthday party?? I think the most exciting part is seeing all of the presents and knowing they are for you! Britten sure was excited about all of his presents and felt really special!

Kangaroo Zoo!

PLAY TIME!! The kids had so much fun running around playing!

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday we had a neighborhood Easter egg hunt. It was very cold and Sarah wanted to go home before it even started!! Poor thing. She too is ready for warmer weather. But when they blew the whistle she was all about collecting eggies. Britten had fun looking for eggs with his little friend Addy. I think she is his new best bud!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!

3 Years ago you were born on March 23, 2005 at the American Fork, UT Hospital.

You were born at 7:26 am and weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches long.

A Poem for SARAH!

IN MY DAUGHTER'S EYES!
author unknown

In my daughter’s eyes, I am a hero,
I am strong and wise,
And I know no fear.
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me,
I see who I wanna be, in my daughters eyes.

In my daughter’s eyes, everyone is equal,
Darkness turns to light,
And the world is at peace,
This miracle God gave to me,
Gives me strength when I am weak,
I find reason to believe, in my daughter’s eyes.

And when she wraps her hand around my finger,
Oh, it puts a smile in my heart.
Everything becomes a little clearer.
I realize what life is all about.
It’s hangin’ on when your heart has had enough;
It’s giving more when you feel like giving up,
I’ve seen the light/ it’s in my daughter’s eyes.

In my daughter’s eyes, I can see the future.
A reflection of who I am, and what will be.
And though she’ll grow and, some day leave
Maybe raise a family,
When I’m gone, I hope you’ll see,
How happy she made me,
For I’ll be there, in my daughter’s eyes.

Coming HOME!

CHOCOLATE

Our good friends Sean and Veronica have recently had 14 chocolate lab puppies. They have offered us the pick of the litter... I am not sure what to think about this. Anyway, they have sent us a few pictures of a little girl named Wynona. Let me know what you think?

Happy St. Patrick's DAY!

Happy St. Patty's DAY!! Britten and I made green scrambled eggs and milk this morning! It was so fun but I must admit I could not bring myself to eat green eggs. Maybe because I am prego??

Present and cake time!

Sarah got so many fun little presents! This was her first party and she was in a little shock that all of the presents were for her. I think she is ready for another party!

Calling all Princesses and Pirates, Sarah is turning 3!

Sarah wanted to have a Princess party this year and I was a little worried because most of our friends have little boys. So we decided to have a Princess and Pirate party! The kids got their faces painted, played pin the coin or crown on the treasure, collected candy from a pinata, went on a treasure hunt and ate cake and ice cream! About 12 kids came and they all seemed to have a great time! Thank you to my friends that stuck around to help!!

They say a cat has 9 lives... Max is down to 8

So lately I have not been the biggest fan of our kitten Max. He is naughty! Jeff decided a few weeks ago we should have him declawed, devoiced, demanned and one more thing. He meows at night to get out of the laundry room and scratches and bites like crazy!! Good thing we don't have leather couches yet. I even talked about finding him a new home. Well, Tuesday night of this week Jeff went to a DAT prep class and the kids and I were up watching a movie. About 8:30pm I realized I forgot to put Britten's sheets in the dryer, so I jumped up and threw them in. As I sat back on the couch I heard Max somewhere meowing. After a few minutes I thought maybe he got shut in the bathroom closet. I sent Britten to see if he was in there. Britten could not find him in there so we continued watching the movie. I kept hearing a cat meow but it was getting more distant. I thought maybe it was a cat outside. After about 5 more minutes I thought I better get up and make sure it was not Max. As I walked by the laundry room I hear this loud thumping noise coming from the dryer and at that moment I knew Max was in there. (because I have pulled him out about 3 times on prior days). I ran to open the dryer and found Max wrapped in Britten's sheets covered in blood. He was burning hot and his heart was beating soooooooo fast. I thought surely he was going to die in my arms. I washed him with a cold rag and started calling emergency pet clinics. Britten and Sarah were such good little helpers while I was running around panicking. We all said a prayer that Max would not die and that he would get better. We took him to the animal er and $140 dollars later he was in a little better shape. They gave him liquids and a shot for his pain and swelling. His nose, ears and paws were burned and swollen. I look at Max now and can't believe he survived his ride in the dryer. The vet said he was lucky to be alive after being in there for so long. Now Max is living the life of luxury. He has been spoiled rotten and after almost dying he actual is not so mean and crazy. Can you believe my luck with cats???

Been Tagged...

10 Years Ago: Let's see, 1998 seems like another life time. I was 22 years old living in Houston, Texas. I was working for a company called HealthHelp which I was with for about 4 years.

5 Things on my list of things to do today: Well, March is a BUSY month for the Bullocks! So my list consists of planning our 6th year anniversary on the 9th, making invites for Sarah's princess/pirate birthday party on the 15th, getting ready for Easter, and planning Britten's transformer birthday! So, besides the daily stuff to do, dishes, laundry, making beds, etc. I am going to be busy getting ready for all of the Bullock activities.

Things I would do if I were suddenly a billionaire: I would book a vacation to Hawaii, pay off all debts including house, probably upgrade my vehicle to 4 wheel drive since it is still snowing in utah, donate to charity and invest in something worth wild.

3 of my BAD habits: I guess the first that comes to mind is I pick at my cuticles. I guess it is a nervous habit I have had since I don't remember when. It's really bad when Jeff takes me to an action packed show! My second bad habit would have to be my organizational skills. But that is something that can be worked on right?? Another would have to be my hair art in the bath and shower. I know that is one of Jeff's favorites...

Places I have lived: Born in Santa Monica, California and grew up in Spring, Texas. I went to Rexburg, Idaho to attend Rick's College. Since that time I have lived in Bountiful, Salt Lake City, Provo, Cedar City and now Eagle Mountain, Utah. Never thought I would spend so many of my years in Utah.

Jobs I have had: My first job was part time at Nesbit Cleaners with Danielle Fisher. Our supervisers, superviser was literally a PAT. I also was a hostess at a mexican resteraunt that I cannot remember the name of - totally prego. I have worked for Utah Trucking Association in Salt Lake, for an OB/GYN in Houston, Healthhelp/VeriTrac in Houston, and Pottery Barn in Houston. And I am sure various other jobs. My current JOB is a MOMMY and it is the most demanding and rewarding job I have ever had!
